SUMMARY:Australian Salmon Fishing Championships Elliston
DESCRIPTION:AUSTRALIAN SALMON FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP  \nJULY 2019 \nWe have reached our 25th year of The Australian Salmon Fishing Championship which is held annually on the West Coast of the Eyre Peninsula during the winter months. This year for one month only from 1st of July to 31st of July 2019. \nSalmon may be caught from the shore between Mount Camel Beach and Sheringa Beach with a hook and line.  Entrants must purchase their tickets before catching salmon. The  salmon must be gutted and washed (not gilled or scaled) and presented on the day of capture to be weighed at the Elliston Community & Visitor Information Centre. \nTickets can be purchased for $10 at the Elliston Community and Visitor Information Centre\, Elliston Roadhouse\, Sheringa Roadhouse\, Elliston Hotel\, Elliston Waterloo Bay Caravan Park and Elliston Caravan Park. Tickets will also available in Port Lincoln\, locations to be announced. \n$1000 will be won for the heaviest salmon caught for the month of July with $300 for the runner up. \nEach week there will be a prize of $300 for the heaviest salmon and a prize of $200 for the mystery weight\, everyone has a chance to win! \nThe results will be announced on our website\, posters around town and on our\nFacebook page –  Australian Salmon Fishing Championship – Elliston \nThere are also some other opportunities to win prizes such as the \nElliston Winter Raffle – Tickets are available for $2 from participating businesses around Elliston\, There are some great prizes this year. \nPhotography competition – A little extra for those who like to take photos\, there is $50 up for grabs each month. \nEmail your photos of salmon fishing between Mount Camel and Sheringa to              info@elliston.com.au throughout July and at the end of each month we will post to our Facebook page to let the audience decide on the winning photo \nFor more information go to www.elliston.com.au/salmon. \nFacebook –  Australian Salmon Fishing Championship – Elliston \nInstagram –  ASFC Elliston \nContact us on 08 8687 9200. \nSending out a huge thank you to all of our sponsors and contestants for supporting this event! \nThe rules of the competition are –\n-The competition commences on 1st July and ends on 31st July 2019\n-Salmon must be caught with a hook and line from the shore between Mount Camel Beach and Sheringa Beach\, Eyre Peninsula.\n-Entrants must purchase a ticket ($10) Before catching their salmon to be weighed.\n-Salmon must be gutted and washed (not gilled or scaled) and be presented on the day of capture to be weighed.\n-maximum of three salmon per entrant per day can be weighed in.
