The Australian Salmon Fishing Championship is held annually on the West Coast of the Eyre Peninsula, held from 1st June to 31st August 2020. The competition is in its 27th year and has proven to be a huge success with many fishermen (and women) coming back to our area each year.
We have fantastic surf fishing in Elliston and the Salmon Fishing Championship is a perfect time to visit and enjoy some excellent fishing while trying your luck at catching the big one. It is good fun for all levels (provided you fish responsibly) and the breathtaking scenery offers great photo opportunities for our winter photo competition.
